"There is a point in your life where you change and you say you know what I gotta do something GOOD, something important."
Ice-t delivered a GOOD keynote message to about 700 people in attendance for Mental Health Association's annual benefit event, the Legacy of Champions Luncheon. He spoke on his own legacy and his new movie Put The Guns Down: A World Epidemic.
After a smolish donation through Fidelity Charitable (you can donate appreciated assets), the VP of MHACF reached out in early February. We had a good conversation about our shared passion for WEB3 and mental health. A week later, GOOD was blessed with a WINK windfall and reached back out to see how we can help them carry the message and help more people. We got them set up with Every.org and with the help of a few friends like JediGizmo we were able to make a nice donation. While it did happen to fall during Avalanche Summit in U.K., we freely offered our extra VIP passes to the luncheon. We got a small diverse group of WEB3 enthusiasts and founders together IRL for good food, an awesome event honoring local heroes in the community, and even a chance to meet Ice-T.
Like many memecoins, WINK ended up tanking at the speed of light. While that was hard on our mental health, at least we sold enough to help fund GOOD CARE initiatives like this. It feels GOOD to give back and be a part of something bigger than ourselves.
